Expect skin peeling and shedding. Skin may feel tight, dry and flaky before the skin starts to peel. The reason for this, is due to the treated area being chemically exfoliated causing the skin to have a rapid turnover rate which means, it sheds old pigmented skin and stimulates skin renewal.
Do not peel your skin or touch the treated area. Allow your skin to shed on its own.

No, there are some ingredients in the chemical treatment of skin lightening that are not safe for pregnancy and/or breastfeeding.

Common causes of pigmentation or darkening of the skin are due to friction from clothing, shaving, hormonal changes, hyperpigmentation, buildup of dead skin cells, genetic predisposition, certain medical conditions (like acanthosis nigricans)

Avoid shaving, and opt in for waxing, exfoliate regularly 3-4x a week with gentle exfoliators, and wear loose fitting clothes that are not too tight to avoid friction to the skin. This includes, avoiding underwear that are lace and thongs.

Leave the product on your skin for 24 hours upon leaving your appointment, unless you begin experiencing tingling or itching on the treated area.
Rinse off product after 24 hours of treatment.
Avoid any products that contain fragrance for 2 weeks.
If peeling occurs, do not pick or peel. It will cause hyperpigmentation.
If you feel any dryness after the treatment, you can apply aloe vera to the treated area.
Avoid exfoliating the treated area for 14 days.
If you receive an underarm lightening treatment, avoid applying antiperspirant(deodorant) for 7 days after treatment.
Avoid tight clothing on the treated area, friction will cause hyperpigmentation.
Avoid any exercise or active activities that may cause you to sweat. This includes working out, saunas, hot tubs, and intimacy for 72 hours(3days).
Avoid waxing, laser hair removal, and sugaring for 3 weeks.
Avoid shaving for 2 weeks.
If the area treated is exposed to sunlight, be sure to apply SPF on the area
