About Vanessa Z. Valdez
Hi Beautiful
Where Beauty Meets Healing
I’m Vanessa Z. Valdez — licensed esthetician and founder of Necesse Aesthetics ®
My journey into this work is deeply personal, rooted in love, loss, and transformation
Before beauty school, I faced some of life’s heaviest challenges — including the tragic loss of my brother, James. He was my protector, my best friend, and the one who guided me through the hardships of our youth, including seasons of homelessness. His passing left a pain so deep I couldn’t keep still.
At the same time, I had recently given birth to my daughter, Desi, and was raising my 4-year-old son, Enenias. I was navigating postpartum, surviving an abusive relationship, and trying to make sense of a life that no longer felt like my own.
Beauty school became my escape — but also my healing ground. Surrounded by strong, kind women, I found sisterhood and purpose. In learning to care for others, I slowly began to care for myself and took the first steps toward accepting my grief.
What started as survival has become sacred work: creating a safe space for women to feel seen, cared for, and restored — inside and out.

Life After Beauty School
I earned my esthetician license in March 2015 from the California Board of Barbering and Cosmetology, first attending Marinello School of Beauty in Santa Clara, CA, and later graduating with skin honors from Paul Mitchell the School of San Jose in February 2015.
In 2017, while working at European Wax Center, I was pursuing my nursing degree and completing my certification as a nursing assistant at Evergreen Valley College, and raising my two children. When my mom suffered an ischemic stroke, I stepped into the role of caregiver — and the pressure of work, parenting, and life forced me to reevaluate everything. That’s when Necesse Aesthetics® was born — created on my own terms, rooted in compassion, resilience, and care.
A year after my mother’s recovery, I accepted a position at my local county hospital and returned to school to continue on a nursing path. During this time, I met my now husband — who became my best friend and a powerful source of support. He helped me escape a toxic relationship and encouraged me to strive for self-improvement and healing.
Later, I pivoted to study surgical technology, seeking a new direction in healthcare. By 2020, I was working full time at the hospital, raising my kids, studying, and trying to grow my business — when the world shut down due to COVID-19.
In late 2021, my father became critically ill with COVID and was admitted to the ICU. I had to make the heartbreaking decision to take him off life support. That sudden loss changed everything. I knew I no longer belonged in healthcare. I needed to be present — for my family, for my healing, and for the calling that had quietly been growing inside me — and eventually, I came to Christ and surrendered it all to Him.
I made a life-changing decision:
I fully committed to Necesse Aesthetics® and to spending meaningful, quality time with my children — without compromise.

What "Necesse" Means
Necesse means “essential” in Latin — and that’s exactly what this space is. A safe place. A necessary pause. A moment for women to feel seen, held, and restored.
Mastery & Growth:
My Commitment to Excellence
With over a decade in the beauty industry, I’ve always been committed to both growth and mastery. I consistently invest in advanced education — not just to sharpen my skills, but to elevate the experience and results I give to every woman who walks into my space.
I’ve attended numerous skin trade shows, workshops, masterclasses, and mentorship programs over the years to stay on the cutting edge of products, techniques, and client care.
Some of my recent and notable education includes:
Private 1:1 training with celebrity brow artist Kelley Baker Brows
Group training with Brows by Zulema (Posh Brows LA owner & educator)
Mentorships through Bosses In Beauty and 7 Figure Team by Raya Cunningham
Ongoing online education and self-led study through ASCP (Associated Skin Care Professionals)
I’m proud to have been:
Featured on CBS Destination SF
Speaking at a Modern Day Wife event as a beauty panelist
Published in the 2023 Modern Day Wife Summer Lookbook
Featured by Nova Wax, a leading professional waxing brand
I’m a member of ASCP, where I stay current by reading Skin Deep and following industry advancements. I’m also in the process of expanding into the cosmetic product world — with a vision to create my own brow makeup line.

The Necesse Experience:
Approach & Offerings
My style is results-driven, intuitive, and relational. I always take the time to understand what my clients want, how they’ve felt in their previous waxing experiences, and what will make them feel truly satisfied. My goal is to not only deliver results, but to create a space that feels personal, calming, and safe.
Clients often tell me:
I create a welcoming, judgment-free zone
I consistently over-deliver — in results and connection
Their appointments feel like relaxing therapy sessions
I’m gentle — especially during waxing
